Former Lieutenant Commander Hettiarachchi Mudiyanselage Chandana Prasad Hettiarachchi alias Navy Sampath who was arrested over the abduction and disappearance of eleven youths in 2008 and 2009, was further remanded till December 5.
The order was issued by the Fort Magistrate’s Court when the hearing was takne up today (Nov 21).
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
