Commander (G) Dinesh Bandara has been appointed as the new Media Coordinator of the Sri Lanka Navy with effect from October 27, the governmnet news portal reported.
He succeeds Commander (G) Lankanatha Dissanayake. Commander (G) Bandara was educated at Mawathagama Central College and joined the SL Navy in 1996 as an Officer Cadet of the 25th Intake.
The government today granted permission for an Iranian warship with 208 on board to enter the country.
