Ruwan Gunasekara, the acting police spokesperson has been appointed as the new police media spokesperson of police, the Ministry of Public Order, Disaster Management and Christian Affairs said. The outgoing Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana has been transfered to Colombo North Division. Currently SSP Rohana is in Malaysia on a official tour.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
