Ninety Sri Lankans who were apprehended for illegally attempting to migrate to the French territory island of Reunion have been remanded until Sept 25.
The order was issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate Dulani Amarasinghe.
The group was arrested by the Navy in seas off Negombo on Tuesday enroute route to Reunion island.
The owner of the vessel has also been apprehended. The suspects are resident of Batticaloa, Ampara, Kilinochchi, Galle, Matara and Chilaw
