No casualties have been reported following an explosion which took place in Mullaitivu yesterday (Jul 4) evening, Police said.
A group of persons had set fire to a heap of garbage after cleaning a plot of land in the area, Army said.
It is suspected that the explosion may have been due to an anti-tank mine that could have gone off at the place where the garbage was being burnt.
Further investigations continue.
