A no confidence motion against Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa will be taken up when Parliament meets at 10 a.m, it was decided at the party leaders meeting held a short while ago.
JVP MP Vijitha Herath who attended the meeting said that the motion has been handed over to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya. The agenda for the day will be decided by the House, he said.
Except for Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Leader of the House Dinesh Gunawardena and Chief Government Whip S. B. Dissanayake , there will be free seating for all MPs.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
