Nominations from former LTTE cadres
Nadesapillai Vithyatharan, former editor of the Uthayan Sudaroli newspapers, filed nominations comprising names of former LTTE cadres to contest as an independent group from Jaffna.
According to our correspondednt among those named were nine rehabilitated LTTE carders.
An ex LTTE cadrer called Thulasi said no threats were received from anybody to contest the election.
He said any Sri Lanakan citizen can contest, and they hope to look after ex LTTE carders livelihood issues and other problems.
