Northern Province Governor Suren Raghavan yesterday (Jan 22) called for an immediate report on the number of lands released by security forces since 2009.
Mr. Raghavan had told relevant officials during a meeting yesterday that 98 percent of the lands accquired by the forces have now been released and therefore called for a special report to be submitted in this regard.
District Secretaries of Vavuniya, Mannar, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, and Jaffna along with Divisional Secretaries and the Governor's Secretary N.Ilangovan attended the meeting.
