One person was arrested along with 3 kg of heroin worth Rs 30 million in Wattala police yesterday, Police said. Rs 2.43 million and two vehicles were also taken into police custody. The police spokesperson Ruwan Gunasekara said that the suspect who is a resident of Kandana area has been taken into custody of Police Narcotic Bureau for further investigations.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
