A group of Opposition Parliamentarians have signed a no-confidence motion against Minister Rishad Bathiudeen, sources said.
Previously, Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero said that a no-confidence motion would be brought against Minister Bathiudeen over his suspicious conduct concerning the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The Thero had also said he would lead the process of tabling the motion if Mr. Bathiudeen does not resign from his ministerial portfolio.
MPs Chamal Rajapaksa, Wimal Weerawangsa, Udaya Gammanpila, Dinesh Gunathilaka, Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero, Tharaka Balasuriya, Namal Rajapaksa, D.V. Chanaka are among the 21 parliamentarians who have signed the motion so far.
