The revision application filed by the Bribery Commission, challenging the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s order to grant Avant-Garde Maritime Services Chairman bail has been fixed for November 4 by the Colombo High Court.
Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi and former Chairman Maj. Gen. Palitha Fernando were arrested for allegedly offering and accepting a bribe of Rs.355 million following the Avant-Garde floating armory transaction.
They were released on bail after being produced before Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya.Meanwhile, the Bribery Commission was directed to file counter objections on November 4.
