Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today (May 24) requested the diplomatic community to take steps to revise travel advisories regarding tourists travelling to Sri Lanka.
During a meeting with the diplomatic community, the Prime Minister had observed that the lives of the people were returning to normalcy while security arrangements were being implemented to its fullest extent.
The discussion at Temple Trees had revolved around the current security situation of the country and the progress of the investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks.
Representatives of the country's security apparatus had told the foreign envoys that the law would be enforced to its fullest extent on those who stir up incidents of extremism in the country, the Prime Minister's office said in a press statement.
State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardana, Prime Minister's Secretary Saman Ekanayake, Foreign Affairs Secretary Ravinatha Aryasinha, and DIG Ajith Rohana were present at the meeting.
