Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has called on the public to remain united and strong following today's tragic incidents in the country.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, the Premier condemned the "cowardly attacks" which had taken place today.
He also called on the public to avoid propogating unverified reports and speculation concerning the explosions.
"The government is taking immediate steps to contain this situation," Premier Wickremesinghe noted.
