Police baton charge student protesters at Health Ministry

Police have launched a baton charge to evict university students who are forcibly occupying a building within the Health Ministry. Student protesters had earlier forcibly entered the building during a protest march against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM). 

The protest was organized by the Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF) and the Medical Faculty Students' Action Committee (MFSAC). 

Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel have also been called into control the situation.
