Police seek public assistance to locate bogus lawyer

Police have sought public assistance to locate an individual who had posed as a lawyer while seeking bail for a suspect arrested over a narcotic offence.

The bogus lawyer identified as Rathnaweera Patabendige Kumara, had sought bail for a suspect who had been arrested with heroin, at the Tangalle High Court, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said in a statement.

Accordingly, the public can provide information on the whereabouts of the individual on the following hotlines ;
