The police has sought the assistance of the public to locate a suspect who is wanted over a credit card racket in the country.
Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said the suspect had obtained the data of other credit card users and engaged in illicit transactions recently.
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) too has commenced a probe to locate and apprehend the suspect.
Police said that footage of the suspect engaging in a similar transaction at a jewellery shop had been caught on CCTV camera.
Accordingly, the individual clad in a cap and a black t-shirt to the right of the image produced below has been identified as the wanted suspect.
