Popular male singer Damith Asanka was remanded till October 9 by the Wellawaya Magistrate Court for allegedly behaving in an unruly manner.
The Kuda Oya police arrested Mr.Asanka following a complaint lodged by his neighbours. They also alleged that the singer was on drugs.
Following the incident, the Magistrate had informed prison officials to produce the singer before a psychiatrist.
As of now, he has been transferred to the Monaragala Prison.
Some of Damith's productions are 'Amma' and 'Me Ridum' which became popular amongst the public circles in Sri Lanka.
