President Maithripala Sirisena extended his deepest sympathy over the tragedy made by the bomb blast outside Erawan Shrine in central Bangkok on Monday. Sending a Message of Condolence, the President stated the Government and the people of Sri Lanka strongly condemn this dastardly act, and stand in solidaritywith the Government and the people of Thailand in this time of grief. “I am confident that all measures would be taken by the Government of Thailand to bring the perpetrators of this act of terror to justice” the President stated. Following is the Message of Condolence by President Sirisena Your Majesty, The Government and people of Sri Lanka are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic bomb blast outside Erawan Shrine in central Bangkok on Monday, resulting in loss of life and injury to hundreds of innocent people including foreign nationals. On behalf of the Government and the people of Sri Lanka, I take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt condolences to Your Majesty, and through you, to the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families, and wish those injured a speedy recovery. The Government and the people of Sri Lanka strongly condemn this dastardly act, and stand in solidarity with the Government and the people of Thailand in this time of grief.
