President Maithripala Sirisena in a meeting held with UNF MPs last evening had hinted at a possibility to withdraw the Parliament dissolution gazette, MP Mano Ganesan told Times Online.
Publishing a series of tweets on his official handle MP Ganesan said that the President had further said that he would not dissolve or prorogue Parliament in future.
He further revealed through social media that the President had accepted that the UNF had the majority while the government which he formed on October 26 did not.
During the meeting yesterday (Nov 30), the President had reiterated that he would not appoint Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Prime Minister again.
