President Maithripala Sirisena is scheduled to meet Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
A special welcome ceremony accorded by Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan today, local media reported to ceremonially welcome President Maithripala Sirisena and the delegation. The welcome ceremony will be followed by a meeting between the two Presidents.
Thereafter, President Sirisena will hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
The two countries will sign several agreements in the areas of economy, culture and religion to further strengthen the robust relations between the two countries.
President Sirisena will later travel to the Buddhist pilgrimage site of Bodh Gaya.
