President Maithripala Sirisena is scheduled to undertake a State visit to India from February 15 -18, on an invitation extended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Presidential Secretariat said. During the visit President Sirisena meet Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and hold will hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Modi. The President is also scheduled to meet political leaders and other dignitaries. He will also attend religious observances at Buddhagaya and Thirupati. This is the first overseas visit by President Sirisena after assumption of office last month.
