Price of lunch packets, other foods likely to increase

The price of a lunch packet and several other food items are likely to increase in line with the price increase of a 12.5 kilogram LPG gas cylinder. 

The price of a 12.5kg LPG gas cylinder increased by Rs.110 with effect from midnight yesterday (25).

Accordingly, the All Island Canteen Owners' Association says that the price of a lunch packet, a cup of milk tea and several other items are due to be increased. 

The association is due to meet this evening to decide on the new prices.
