United National Party MP Kavinda Jayawardena has stepped down from the Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to probe the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya announced a short while ago in Parliament.
The Speaker also announced that Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne and MP Dr Nalinda Jayatissa have been appointed as members to the same Parliamentary Select Committee.
Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri has been appointed by the Speaker as the Committee Chairman. Ministers Rauff Hakeem, Ravi Karunanayake, MPs Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, Prof. Ashu Marasinghe, Dr Jayampathy Wickramaratne and M.A. Sumanthiran are the other members of the Committee.
