The Public Service Commission (PSC) has informed the Attorney General (AG)’s Department to expedite inquiries into its suspended Solicitor General (SG) Dilrukshi Dias Wickramasinghe.
PSC Chairman Dharmasena Dissanayake observed that there has been a delay on the part of the AG’s Department to appoint a panel to carry out the inquiry.
Accordingly, he stated that the PSC has sent a list of names to the Department to facilitate the process of choosing the investigators.
Wickremesinghe had been interdicted from her services, after her telephone conversation allegedly with Avant Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi had been leaked by him on social media.
In the purported phone call, the SG is heard regretting taking legal action against him over the operation of an illegal floating armoury.
