Former Minister Rajitha Senaratne who was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) earlier re- remanded till June 10 today. He was arrested on May 27 after Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne issued a fresh directive today dismissing an earlier bail condition granted to him by the courts.
Earlier Mr Senaratne was arrested over organising a media briefing attended by two persons which included an individual claiming to be a "white van" driver during alleged abductions before 2015.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
