UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has advised his party members to avoid commenting on ongoing court proceedings unless they possess a thorough understanding on the matter.
According to a statement released by the UNP, Mr. Wickremesinghe had cited that various UNPers had made statements before various media pertaining to court proceedings.
Therefore, he urged all UNPers when making comments about cases to respond only after having obtained all facts and to make statements with utmost responsiblity.
