People living in the Talawakale Divisional Secretariat Division are facing a severe drinking water shortage due to the prevailing dry weather conditions. They are forced to walk more than 3km to fetch water before they go to pluck tea in the estates. They are appealing to authorities to supply them with pipe-borne water to overcome the shortage.
