The body of a 67-year old retired doctor has been discovered at his residence in Bloemendhal Lane in Kotahena today (May 23).
According to the Police, the deceased had been attacked by a group which broke into his two-storeyed residence last night.
It is believed that the group had tied the retired doctor onto a chair before proceeding to commit the murder.
CCTV footage of the incident will be used to apprehend the suspects involved in the incident, Police said.
