Retired Supreme Court Judge Sarath De Abrew died a short while ago following injuries sustained in a fall from the upper floor of a building.
He was rushed to the Kalubowila Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. The former Supreme Court Judge faced charges of sexual abuse towards a domestic aide last year.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
