The rewards offered for information leading to the detection of weapons and arrest of suspects have been increased, Police Headquarters announced today.
Accordingly, a policeman or a civilian providing information to detect a T56 weapon and the arrest of a suspect will be entitled to Rs 250,000, while without the arrest of the suspect the reward would be Rs 200,000.
Earlier the reward was Rs 50,000 for the arrest of a suspect with a T56 weapon.
The other rewards increased are as follows;
Detection of a repeater gun with the suspect, Rs 50,000 for a police officer or a civilian while Rs 25,000 will be paid if only the weapon is detected.
For the detection of a pistol, revolver or any automatic weapon produced in a foreign country along with the suspect, the rate will be Rs 150,000 for a policeman and Rs 250,000 for a civilian. Without the suspect it will be Rs 100,000 for a policeman and Rs 250,000 for a civilian.
Several other rates for similar detections too have been announced.
