Former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen filed complaints against parliamentarians Wimal Weerawansa and S B Dissanayake at the Police Headquarters today (Jun 7).
Mr. Bathiudeen had filed a complaint against MP Weerawansa who accused the former minister of providing vehicles belonging to Lanka Sathosa for terrorists activities in the country.
“Today I complained to the IGP against this, calling for an immediate inquiry and legal action by Police. We do not have any dealings with terrorist Zahran. I never met Zahran nor seen him either," he told the press after lodging the complaint.
A complaint was also filed against parliamentarian S B Dissanayake over certain allegations levelled against Mr. Bathiudeen.
"S.B.Dissanayake is exacting political revenge from me now since I did not extend my support to them during the 52-day anti-democratic coup in October 2018," Bathiudeen claimed.
A group of Parliamentarians from the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) also accompanied the former minister to file the complaint at the Police Inspector General's office.
