Russian national dies after drowning in Hikkaduwa
A 48-year old Russian died after drowning in Hikkaduwa at around 11:30 pm last night.
The foreigner had drowned at sea while going in for a swim at a beach in close proximity to the hotel in which he had stayed.
The victim's body is currently lying at the Balapitiya Base hospital.
Further investigations into the incident are currently being carried out by the Hikkaduwa police.
