The Ministry of Housing and Construction has donated 12 houses to the members of the Sri Lankan Netball team that clinched the Asian Championships for the fifth time last year.
The houses were donated by Minister Sajith Premadasa from the Sayurapura Housing Complex in Moratuwa.
Each house is worth Rs 3 million, the Ministry said.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
