The Supreme Court today has issued a notification to Deputy Minister of social empowerment and welfare Ranjan Ramanayake to appear before the Supreme Court on October 25, on Contempt of Court charges filed by Bodu Bala Sena (BBS).
Ven Magalkande Sudantha Thera attached to the BBS filed the Contempt of Court charges against Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake over a statement he made on judicial system and lawyers in the country in August.
