The Supreme Court today (Feb 28) postponed the hearing of a Fundamental Rights (FR) petition, filed by the lawyers of Retired Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda, preventing the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from arresting him, until March 7.
The petition was taken up for hearing today before a three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Nalin Perera, Justice Priyantha Jayawardene and Justice Murdu Fernando.
Meanwhile, Justice Priyantha Jayawardene had rescued himself from the judge bench that is hearing the case.
