All government schools in Kilinochchi have been closed for a week after a COVId-19 positive case was detected in the district, District Secretary Mrs R. Ketheeswaran said.
She said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to prevent further spread of the virus. The contact tracing process with regard to the recent COVID-19 positive case is currently underway.
It was also decided that those who enter into Kilinochchi district from other districts will have to undergo 14 day mandatory self quarantine.
