The cabinet of Ministers this week approved the structure of the Coordinating Reconciliation Mechanisms (SCRM) and the required funding for its operations, a statement from the organization said.
Accordingly, Abesinghe Arachchige Dayananda was appointed to the post of Head of Establishments and the SCRM is the apex body created by cabinet in December last year to coordinate all reconciliation related activities in Sri Lanka.
The SCRM is established under the Prime Minister’s Office and the Secretary General reports directly to the Honourable Prime Minister and through him, the President.
The organization also confirmed that Mano Tittawella was appointed as the Secretary General of the Secretariat for from 29th, March 2016 and is neither the secretary nor a member of the Office of Missing Persons (OMP). "The members to the recently enacted (OMP) will be appointed by the Constitutional Council and will be accountable directly to the Parliament of Sri Lanka,"
