Shiranthi Rajapaksa, wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has failed to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning (27) despite being summoned to give a statement,
She was due to appear before the CID at 9.00am today.
However, Mrs. Rajapaksa's lawyers have informed the CID that she is unable to appear at the CID today.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
