Heavy showers were reported from certain areas in Monaragala and Badulla yesterday (Sept 10) ending a months long spell of dry weather in the district.
According to area residents, hail too had been experienced for about 30 minutes. Trees such as rubber had suffered damages as a result of the hailstones.
