Six arrested for treasure hunting

Six suspects have been taken into custody in for engaging in treasure hunting at a private land in Labugala. Police Media Unit said the suspects were arrested in a raid conducted jointly by the Anamaduwa Police and the Special Task Force Camp in Puttalam. 

A set of digging tools and a crane fixed with an electric motor were seized during the raid. 

The arrested suspects are aged between 23 and 38 years. They are due to be produced before the Anamaduwa Magistrate's Court.
