A group of six suspects including singer Amal Perera have been deported from Dubai this morning.
The suspects who were arrested along with several underworld leaders in February had arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport at around 5 am on a UL 226 flight.
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) have taken these suspects into custody and are currently questioning them at the airport.
A group of 31 Sri Lankans which included 'Makandure Madush' and several other underworld members were arrested by the Dubai Police on February 04 during a party at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel at Al Raffa, Dubai.
Following today's deportation, a total of 29 suspects have been deported to the country so far.
