The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) declared that it will carry out an active campaign across the country against the 20th Amendment and protect the merits of the 19th Amendment while fixing the shortcomings in the amendment.
As part of that campaign, the SJB organized a protest in front of the statue of late Ven Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero near Parliament yesterday. The late monk was instrumental to bring the previous government into power and key campaigner of the 19th Amendment.
Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa, and opposition MPs took part in the protest and vowed to mobilise support against 20 A across the island.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has interdicted Colombo Fort Magistrate Kosala Senadheera.
