The Sri Lanka-Singapore Free Trade Agreement would be revised if it is found to be harmful to Sri Lanka’s economic interests, President Maithripala Sirisena said today.
He told senior journalists during a media briefing at the President’s House that he had appointed an expert committee and anyone could go before it and present their views on the FTA.
He said if the committee recommended that the agreement needed revisions, he would do so and he would not hesitate to remove clauses said to be harmful to Sri Lankan industries and businesses.
