The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will submit a report on the proposals submitted by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) on the alliance between both parties, United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) General Secretary Mahinda Amaraweera told Times Online.
Both parties had exchanged their proposals on the alliance late last June.
Accordingly, the SLFP which is a member party of the UPFA had met on four occasions between each other and discussed matters on the SLPP’s proposal, Mr. Amaraweera noted.
Earlier this month, The UPFA General Secretary had announced that both parties would contest at the upcoming elections under an alliance called the 'Sri Lanka Nidahas Podujana Peramuna'.
