A special hotline number (0771056032) has been introduced by the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) for students and officers on examination duties to report difficulties experienced due to unavailability of public transport services.
Advanced Level examinations will continue till the end of this week. Examinations Commissioner Sanath Pujitha earlier said students and exam officials can use their National Identity Cards and office IDs as curfew passes and that special transport arrangements have been made by the SLTB and Sri Lanka Railways.
Students and officials were requested to make travel arrangements early in order to report to examination centres on time. Officers on exam duties are to be paid an extra transport allowance as well.
