The special commodity levy on a kilo of imported onions and potato has been slashed by Rs 20 in lieu of the festive season.
Accordingly, the Rs 40 levy which was imposed on a kilogram of onion and potato will be reduced to Rs 20.
The change will be in effect from midnight today (Dec 3).
