Sri Lanka Insurance in contingency mode to provide customers convenience vis-à-vis COVID-19

Sri Lanka Insurance (SLIC) in support of the Government initiative to prevent the spreading of Covid 19 virus has launched a series of initiatives to provide a safe continuous service to its customers.
Motor insurance policy holders whose renewals fall within the period of March 16 to 19 who have contacted SLIC offices will be granted an extended temporary cover for two weeks. 
SLIC also like to emphasis that SLIC health and life policies also cover Daily Hospitalization Cash Benefit, Hospitalization Bill Settlement (Cashless and Reimbursement options), Critical Illness Cover, loss of lives due to COVID-19 related issues. Further all SLIC corporate health insurance policy holders are also covered for hospitalization expenses incurred due to COVID-19 infection, the company said in a statement.
An array of payment channels are also available for the policy holders to renew their insurance policies and to make premium payments. Online payment gateway – www.srilankainsurance.net, SLIC mobile App available on Apple Store and Google playstore, Mobile Payment Facilities - Genie/FriMi/mCash/eZycash, Direct bank payments facilities through Sampath Bank (092960000104) , Commercial Bank (1484444444), People’s Bank ( 014100120112337), Bank of Ceylon ( 0000164657), Hatton National Bank (003010313831),National Savings Bank (100011141139) Nations Trust Bank ( 011106000275 ). 
“The Government at present is taking all necessary measures in COVID-19 prevention and is providing best care for patients in several hospitals free of charge and as a socially responsible state organization Sri Lanka Insurance re-emphasize the importance of staying safe according to the government and WHO safety guidelines of COVID-19 virus,” it said.

Sri Lanka Insurance requested the general public to adhere to the health guidelines provided by relevant authorities to support initiatives in preventing spreading of COVID-19.
