Sri Lanka will resume talks with India on poaching issues this month, State Fisheries Minister Dileep Wedaarachchi said, citing a request of the Indian government over the matter.
Mr. Wedaarachchi noted that talks between both countries had been halted since the political crisis which erupted in the country in October last year.
Accordingly, the Indian government, through its foreign mission in Sri Lanka, had requested to engage in discussions, the State Fisheries Minister said.
He added that these discussions would be held bilaterally with the first set of talks to be held in Sri Lanka.
