Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll increased up to 40 today with another four deaths reported today, Department of Government Information said.
Citing the Director General of Health Services, the department said among them were three men and one woman. Three of the deceased aged 51, 45 and 63 were residents of Rajagiriya, Colombo 10 and Udugampola respectively. The identity of a 55-60-year-old man has not been confirmed yet.
Meanwhile the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said some 305 persons who are close contacts of earlier patients tested positive for COVID-19 today.
