The Sri Lankan airline flight due to fly back students stranded in Wuhan, China after the spread of the Coronavirus landed at the wuhan Tianhe International airport around 9.00 p.m Sri Lankan time, officials said.
The flight is expected to depart within the next two hours with 33 students stranded there.
Airport officials said they were expecting the flight to arrive around 6.00 a.m. from where the students will be directly transferred to Diyathalawa. “All health precautions will be taken during the transfer,” an official added.
Meanwhile President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa advised officials to consult both, western and ayurvedic medical practitioners in taking measures to treat persons suspected to be affected by the coronavirus.
